“Turning the wheel of dharma through the sound.”

Stomu Yamash’ta is a long-time leading contemporary musician based in Kyoto, Japan. He worked with Seiji Ozawa, Steve Winwood, David Bowie, Toru Takemitsu and many other leading innovative musicians. Another musician in the picture Aurelio lives in Auroville, South India and runs a musical instrument making unit called Svaram. This encounter magically took place although two musicians were very busy as Stomu had plan to hold his concert in Daitokuji temple in Kyoto very soon and Aurelio had to trip back to India to prepare for the contemporary healing music congress in Europe. Our meeting were filled by sharing of ideas and creative enthusiasm.
ONE ASIA cultural event for Japan was strongly felt in the air…

SWASTIKA – ONE ASIA studio

This is the first introduction of our new project – SWASTIKA – ONE ASIA studio in Auroville.
It is one of our social projects including; Cultural event facility, Artist-in-Residence, Gallery space, Tea Ceremony space, Handicraft research and etc. Construction work is still going on and we are planning to open to the public at the beginning of 2015.

We will keep you updated about the progress of this project.

Our latest visit in Taiwan

A little update from our latest trip to Taipei. Our new project in Taiwan is beautifully unfolding. We will post the details soon.

Apart from her professional career in Nanguan music, Wang Xin-Xin intensively practices Gu-qin – 古琴/七弦琴 -. it was a peaceful memorable evening in Taipei to enjoy delicious home made spring rolls, finest Taiwanese organic tea by 高定石, spontaneous calligraphy session with Mr Lin and the elegant music.
